IU Students for Life wraps up successful Fall semester

By Scott Tibbs

Indiana University Students for Life is wrapping up a successful Fall semester, and has many accomplishments to look back on.

IUSFL has been more active this semester than it has been in over a year, with its activities including picketing at the local Planned Parenthood when it does abortions on Thursday morning. IUSFL also presented an opportunity for IU Students to attend the Collegians Activated to Liberate Life weekend in Cincinnati. In addition, IUSFL raised money for the Crisis Pregnancy Center here in Bloomington in the Walk for Life. IUSFL also has ran dinner lines and passed out literature in the Indiana Memorial Union on the life issue.

IUSFL also has a new faculty advisor, Jack Schmit. With a new faculty advisor, IUSFL was able to create a web page, featuring IUSFL's Constitution, Pro-Life Links, and why it is necessary to be 100% Pro-Life.

IUSFL is looking to make the Spring of 1998 even more successful, planning a CALL weekend at Indiana University, as well as participating in Monroe County Right to Life's march at the Bloomington Courthouse to educate people about the 25th anniversary of Roe Vs. Wade. IUSFL also plans to take a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the annual march on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. IUSFL also hopes to have more speakers next semester, and will be announcing the speakers as they are confirmed.
